Matrimony, mayhem, murder. Fifty brides flee their fifty, forced-marriage grooms by hiding out in a villa on the Italian coast. Once discovered by the determined grooms, the villa erupts in a clash of wills, song, dance, violent fits and one final, unforgettable showdown. Big Love is a modern re-making of one of the Western world’s oldest plays, Aeschylus’ The Suppliants, by one of America’s greatest living playwrights. WAAPA's graduating Performance Making students, under the direction of visiting artist Candy Bowers, bring their passion and creativity to this unflinching look at justice, revenge, and the enduring power of love.
Big Love is presented by special arrangement with United Talent Agency.
