Performed by: Aboriginal Performance students
Join us in celebrating the talents of WAAPA's 2024 Aboriginal Performance cohort, as they take to the stage in Black Medea, the public performance that marks the finale to their year of training. Wesley Enoch’s bold adaptation of Euripides’ classic play, Medea, weaves the cultures of Ancient Greek and Indigenous storytelling into an unflinching and powerful commentary on contemporary Aboriginal experience. Medea sacrifices her land and family connections to pursue her love – with devastating results.
