Jessica is a Lecturer and the Head of Orchestral Studies and Conducting at the Western Australian Academy of Performing Arts.

Australian conductor Jessica Gethin has gained widespread attention for her stellar musicianship and vibrant energy, reviewers citing her performances as ‘… refined, charismatic and exhilarating’. Listed by Limelight Magazine in the ‘Top Twenty Australian Artists of the Year’ and AFR’s ‘Top 100 Women of Influence’, Jessica’s international roster includes engagements throughout Asia, New Zealand, the United States, Australia and beyond. She is fast being recognised for her repertoire diversity, moving effortlessly between symphonic works, opera and ballet to contemporary and film score. A passionate educator and advocate for the arts, Jessica is dedicated to developing the next generation of artistic leaders. She is regularly engaged as presenter and keynote speaker on the topics of the arts, leadership and diversity. Jessica is alumna of the Western Australian Academy of Performing Arts, and lectured at WAAPA since 2008 before commencing her official role in 2023.
